Elizabeth Banks Has Launched A Website For Funny Women (Because Dudes Already Have Enough)

Elizabeth Banks – director of Pitch Perfect 2, star of 30 Rock and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and original cast member of Wet Hot American Summer – does not need to be told what is and isn't funny.

That’s probably why she’s decided to launch a new website called WhoHaha, dedicated to showcasing funny women, who for years have had to cede the spotlight to their male counterparts.

As Banks opines in the site’s launch video, “If men can do it, they probably learned it from a woman.”

(She also offers male comics an opportunity to spare themselves the humiliation of attempting comedy after WhoHaha’s launch: “Bow out, b******.” Is this the appropriate time to refer to Ms. Banks as "kween"?)

The website will create and host original comedy content and also highlight hilarious ladies from across the web. There’s even a function to recommend comics here.

Speaking to AdAge, Banks made her feminist mission clear.

"There are people doing it really well for boys. I just felt like there was not a place that was doing it really, really well, and specifically, for girls and women," she said.

The best part is that the footage is amusing regardless of your gender. It’s almost like anyone can be funny. Huh.
