Eight Things You Should Defs Do These School Holidays

Eight Things You Should Defs Do These School Holidays

Did someone say skydiving?

Aight fam, you’ve worked hard all term, so it's time to let loose and get the most out of your school holidays.

So, let’s ditch the textbooks and pens and check out eight things you need to be doing these school holidays that are straight up fire.

1. Go bowling.

Anyone who says bowling is lame can come fight us because bowling is sick.

Seriously, getting a bunch of your friends together and going to your local bowling alley is always a good time, especially if a few of you are competitive.

And don’t get suckered with full prices; Student Edge members get 15 per cent off two games at Zone Bowling! In fact, you can claim your deal here.

2. Take a road trip.

It’s officially time to get out of town for a bit and kick back on a sandy beach somewhere these school holidays.

Going on a road trip is a great way to unwind after a long term, so why not grab some friends, pack up the car and head out on a road trip during your break?

From buzzing cities to jungle waterfalls, Australia has an adventure waiting for everyone.

Don’t get bored out there either, Experience Oz have amazing experiences to cash-in on all over Australia. You can snorkel in Exmouth, tour the MCG in Melbourne, climb the treetops in Tasmania and ride the rollercoasters on the Gold Coast.

Student Edge members score seven per cent off all experiences across Australia too with Experience Oz.

3. Play video games until midnight.

Time to face some hard truth: you can’t stay up late playing video games on a school night. Trust us, we’ve tried and paid for it the next day.

Damn you FIFA.

But now that there is no school for two weeks, it’s the perfect opportunity to play games until early in the morning.

There are plenty of fun new releases to play like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered or the new Resident Evil Village set to drop mid-holidays on 7 April.

Don’t forget Sony are giving away 10 free PlayStation games to anyone who owns a PS4/PS5. There are more than enough games there to keep you up for the whole two weeks if you’re crazy enough.

4. Jump out of a plane and skydive.

Okay thrill seekers, step up and prove it with some skydiving. If nothing has got your attention before because it’s too tame for your adrenaline-filled heart, skydiving is the perfect activity for you.

Skydive Australia will help you tick this one off your bucket list with $30 off a tandem skydive. Score!

5. Try rock climbing.

If jumping from a plane is too extra, rock climbing is the perfect middle ground for you to try.

Rock climbing isn’t just fun, but also a great way to build some muscles if you start going regularly.

Fair warning though, once you nail that first wall, you will become addicted.

6. Play some minigolf at Holey Moley.

This one is for the mad minigolf fans out there.

Holey Moley is a great place to head with your mates and challenge yourself on the most creative minigolf courses in Australia.

Each hole is bursting with pop-cultural nostalgia, and the music is vibin' too.

Student Edge members can snag an exclusive $8 per person for nine holes, so tee off before it’s too late here.

7. Get fit.

With all that free time during the school holidays, there’s never been a better opportunity to get fit.

It might only be 15 minutes of your day, but it’s well worth your time.

Walk, run, swim, yoga, sports—whatever you need to do to get fitter than you were when holidays started. Your body (and mind) will thank you for it. Remember, Student Edge members get 25 per cent off a 12 or 18 month Platinum Membership with both Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs.

8. Read a book.

Not everything has to be about getting outdoors and burning energy. You’ve been working so hard you might just wanna chill, and we respect that tbh.

Head to your local library or bookstore and grab a novel to bury your nose in.

Try reading the latest Hunger Games novel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, or the addictive high-school mystery One of Us Is Lying. Student Edge members get an extra 10 per cent off sitewide at Booktopia, so you've got no excuse.

And there you have it, eight fun things for you to do to keep busy these school holidays.

Of course, it's important to adhere to any social distancing or coronavirus lockdown requirements in your state, so make sure you stick to the rules folks.
