"Egg Boy" Will Connolly Has Donated That 100K In GoFundMe Money to Charity

Egg Boy is the gift that keeps on giving.
In the wake of a truly devastating event and its abhorrent aftermath, Egg Boy was the shining light news story that gave some of us someone to champion during dark times.
After a terrorist attack orchestrated by a hateful white supremacist culminated in the deaths of 50 innocent people from Christchurch's Muslim community, Australia's then-Senator Fraser Anning released a statement about the event that drew widespread condemnation for its incitement of further hate.
During a press conference soon after, Anning was approached by a young male from behind who raised an egg, while filming on his phone, and cracked it square on the top of his head. The act was in retaliation to Anning's hurtful comments.
With that, a legend was born. Will Connolly, AKA Egg Boy, was the guiding light we needed.
Naturally, however, Egg Boy was detained after the act and the internet decided to raise some funds on various GoFundMe pages to help him with legal costs. They raised nearly $100,000 in total.
Connolly has since taken to Instagram to confirm that because he was represented pro bono (meaning the lawyers didn't charge him), he'll be donating all that money to both the Christchurch Foundation and Victims Support.
