Drop Everything: Katz’s Pastrami Will Soon Be Available to the World

The world-famous deli has announced it will be going global, following plans to open a large facility in New Jersey.
Katz’s Delicatessen has been operating in NYC since 1888 and has even become a tourist attraction due to its delicious signature meat, pastrami.
They've actually already been shipping around the US for a little bit. Alas, now, Katz's is looking at taking over the world with plans to firstly ship to Mexico and Canada and then globally.
It's not likely to be cheap though. At the actual deli in NYC, a pastrami sandwich can set you back $US21.45 (about $AUD30) and if you want a whole slab of it, it'll cost you $US83.95 (about $AUD115).
The deli was also featured in the 1989 movie When Harry Met Sally during an iconic (and pretty inappropriate) scene.
Pastrami, for those who haven’t had the privilege of tasting it, is a bit like corn beef. It’s raw meat brined (steeped in salty water) then smoked and steamed.
Wall Street Journal is reporting that the global shipping service will be up-and-running by 2018 which is so soon, yet so far.
