Doritos Have a New Mystery Flavour and They’re Giving $10K to Whoever Guesses It

So far, it’s called "Test Flavour: 855".

The kings of cheesy corn chips have just gone and thrown the foodie world a hell of a curveball.

Earlier today, Doritos announced that they are releasing a new chip flavour, only they’re not yet revealing what it is.

Called "Test Flavour: 855", the new chip is being revealed alongside a cheeky comp that the chippy bois are running for one lucky winner.

They're asking fans and foodies all over to try and guess the flavour of their new chip for the chance to win a cool (ranch) $10,000.

Suddenly I’m a chip enthusiast.

Doritos are describing their sneaky corn chip as “a bold new flavour that the Doritos crew have taken years to make," whatever that means.

Doritos head of R&D Anna Lowndes told KIIS FM that only a handful of people know the true identity of the new chippy.

“The unique testing process means that only a few people from Doritos know about the secret recipe including the food scientists and one culinary expert,” she said.

So, how do you go into the running for this sly prize?

All you’ve gotta do is purchase any specially marked pack of the Doritos "Test Flavour 885" and complete the online form on their website.

My question is: how are they going to get away with keeping the flavour a secret if they have to disclose ingredients and allergens on the back of the packet? Might be a cheeky clue there.

In the form, you will need to enter your details and your guess. Plus, spelling counts, so if you’re gonna guess cheese, don’t spell it like ‘ches’.

You do have to be 18 or older to enter, so soz if you’re still underage but maybe you can guess alongside a parent or older sibling.
