Donald Trump Claims He's Gonna Get Arrested Tomorrow

Former U.S. president reckons it’ll happen on Tuesday.

On Saturday, the former U.S. president Donald Trump posted in all-caps on his social media platform Truth Social, “FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Oh boy.

So what’s exactly going on here?

While nothing’s been confirmed, it’s expected that Trump will be indicted for a New York case that claims he paid hush-money to two women during the 2016 presidential campaign.

According to The Sydney Herald, two anonymous people close to Trump spoke about the statement, saying ‘advisers and lawyers on his team had warned Trump in recent days that an indictment could come early next week, including the possibility of Tuesday, but did not know why he signalled out that day in his post.’

This recent post by Trump is causing major concern, with its tone echoing his ‘call to action’ that sparked his supporters attacking the U.S. Capitol in 2021.

His influence in the attack on the U.S. Capitol have made him the focus of another case filed against him, with the Justice Department stating that a ‘president would not be protected by “absolute immunity” if his words were found to have been an “incitement of imminent private violence”.

There are more investigations being made against Trump, including his role in attempting to block the 2020 election results and potential mishandling of classified documents.

Donald Trump is supposed to be running for presidency again in 2024, so it’ll be interesting to see just how this all pans out, and if the arrest actually happens.
