Donald Glover Didn't Dress Up As "Atlanta" Creep Teddy Perkins, So Who Did?

The mystery of Teddy Perkins at the Emmys is the one that keeps giving.

The 2018 Emmys gave birth to one of Hollywood's greatest modern mysteries: the haunting appearance of Atlanta villain, Teddy Perkins.

While at first people were impressed by Donald Glover's magnificent efficiency in changing out of his Teddy Perkins and into his regular look, it soon became apparent that he was not this Teddy Perkins.

And so it began: the Emmys freakiest enigma.

Twitter users frantically searched through Emmy photos to determine who was, or rather wasn't, the creepy, pale man.

With so few cast members left to assume responsibility, some suggested it was one of the writers, Jamal Olori.

But, to keep us guessing, according to Vanity Fair, representatives from Atlanta have also confirmed that they have no idea who the man (or woman?) dressed as Teddy Perkins was.

Some speculated it could be Saturday Night Live's Jay Pharoah for a few circumstantial reasons such as height and how Perkins hugged Bill Hader (Pharoah and Hader are good pals).

Pharoah, however, has since denied it on Twitter as well.

I think it's safe to say that, until someone fesses up, we won't truly get over this real-life night terror.

Catch the first two seasons of Atlanta on SBS On Demand.
