DJ Albo Tells Us About His Favourite Bands, The Manchester Sound and Rage's Betrayal

Labor MP Anthony Albanese picked up the nickname DJ Albo on account of his mad skillz behind the decks at a couple of fundraisers and charity events.

It's pretty much the best nickname any politician can hope for.

When we sat down with him for a lengthy Back to School With chat recently, we asked him about his favourite music and which bands meant the most to him growing up.

Ten minutes later, we were still talking about the "continuum of music", the infamous Manchester scene and his betrayal at the hands of iconic music video program Rage.

We also asked him about Willie the Boatman's Albo Corn Ale Beer, named after DJ Albo himself.
