Delta Air Lines Has Issued A Lifetime Ban On A Disruptive Trump Supporter After He Shouted At Other Passengers

A man who shouted pro-Donald Trump and anti-Hillary Clinton remarks at fellow passengers has been officially banned from all Delta Air Lines flights – for life.

Edward Bastian, the chief executive of Delta Air Lines, published a memo on Delta’s website addressing the incident. He wrote, “This individual displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers.”

Mr Bastian ensured that all other travelers on the flight would receive refunds for their tickets.

A passenger who was on-board the flight, Emma Baum, videotaped the man involved and released the footage online. Ms Baum was quoted by the Morning Call as saying the man first caught her attention when he was shouting Trump slogans in the terminal while waiting to board the plane.

When she noticed the man becoming animated, she began recording him with her phone. In the video you can see the man clapping his hands and yelling at other passengers.

At one point he says, “Donald Trump, baby! We got some Hillary b*tches on here?”

He also yelled, “Donald Trump! It’s your president. Every goddamn one of you. If you don’t like it, too bad.”

According to the New York Times, many commentators have pointed out that the man, who is white, was not ejected from the flight immediately, while non-white passengers would have been subjected to extra scrutiny or outright removal.

Delta was criticized for its initial response to the episode, which prompted the company to deliver the lifetime ban.
