Cool Mum Meryl Streep Went to a Lykke Li Concert This Week

Who has two thumbs, 21 Oscar nominations and a taste for Swedish alt-pop? This Meryl.

Meryl Streep was spotted at an intimate concert for Swedish singer Lykke Li in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, EW reports.

(In fairness, we already knew she liked ABBA.)

By dropping in on the 275-person show, she revealed a surprise interest in downbeat mood music, as well as a willingness to go to a club on a Tuesday. What next, Meryl at an iLoveMakonnen gig?

Fellow concertgoers had no choice but to document the unexpected event, because what else would you do if you saw Meryl standing next to you literally anywhere?

Streep apparently attended the show with daughters Grace and Mamie Gummer (both actresses too). I guess it’s true: the family that listens to grinding Scandinavian dreampop together, stays together.
