Some of the Best Surprise Guest Performers at Coachella Weekend One

If you spent the entire weekend watching Coachella from your bed, we can’t blame you.

Because we’ve defs spent our day wishing we were in Indio, California.

And it simply wouldn’t be Coachella without the surprise guests who join the performers on stage. With a lineup like Sabrina Carpenter, Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, Ice Spice and Doja Cat there was no shortage of celebs around.

Here are some of the best surprise performances from Coachella’s first weekend.

Also joined by Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff, Lana Del Rey returned to Coachella for the first time in ten years.

She welcomed Billie Eilish to the stage who sang “Ocean Eyes” and Lana’s song “Video Games”.

They then proceeded to tell each other how much they loved each other on stage 🥹 We’re not crying, you are.

Olivia Rodrigo with No Doubt.

Your millennial older sibling/friend/family member was probably most excited about No Doubt’s performance at Coachella. Mostly because this was the first time they’d reunited as a band in nine years.

But then they brought out Olivia Rodrigo, who fittingly was wearing an ‘I [heart] ND’ t-shirt. Together they sang No Doubt’s song “Bathwater” while Olivia and Gwen Stefani discussed how they both love “the bad boys”.

Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson and Kali Uchis with Tyler, The Creator.

Tyler, The Creator brought out all his mates on stage including Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson and Kali Uchis.

Childish Gambino duetted with Tyler on “Running Out of Time” while A$AP sang “Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy” with the rapper.

As the last act of the night, Tyler made quite the dramatic exit as he (literally) soared off stage using some special effects and stagecraft.

How can we leave class like this?

Justin Bieber with TEMS.

We can only guess that Beliebers everywhere were screaming when Justin Bieber joined TEMS on stage during her set.

Justin had been on a break after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022. He performed at the NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto in February earlier this year.

But he looked right at home on the Coachella stage.

21 Savage with Doja Cat.

Twas the final night of Coachella and Doja Cat was in form. With her she brought A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage and Teezo Touchdown to perform.

Her show also involved a puppet dinosaur skeleton and mud dancing??

So it’s safe to say she closed weekend one of Coachella with a bang.
