Chrissy Teigen Has Spoken: It’s Pronounced "Jif" Not "GIF"

So it is decreed.
I have to admit, I’ve long been part of the “Never jif” contingent on the internet.
However, arbiter of all things right and just on Twitter, Chrissy Teigen, has upended the debate surrounding your favourite moving imagery, declaring "jif" the true pronunciation of "GIF".
Her declaration came unexpectedly yesterday, when she posted a video of her husband John Legend and newborn baby Miles, with a GIF of Donald Trump. On it, she asks, "Can you do jifs on a video?"
I did it. I learned gifs!! pic.twitter.com/eoJlLewSs2

When some lowly tweeters attempted to correct her articulation of "GIF", she responded thusly (language warning):
how do I disable twitter comments entirely

The silent majority retweeted her with force. However, some attempted to reason with Chrissy, explaining that GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format, and therefore, should be pronounced with a hard G.
“But Chrissy, “graphic” has a hard G” pic.twitter.com/WrcWq769JY

Then came this unimpeachable argument:
THANNNNNK YOUUUU. https://t.co/f2FFaCSGty

So, there you have it. It’s "jif" now. Or, rather, it has always been "jif".
Now, Chrissy, solve this, once and for all: Would it be better to fight one horse-sized duck, or 100-duck-sized horses?
