Umm, Chris Gayle (The "Don't Blush, Baby" Guy) Just Named His Daughter “Blush”

In what is either a massive troll or a slightly misguided PR move, West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has told the world he named his baby daughter ‘Blush’.
Or, maybe he just likes the word? Gayle announced the arrival of Blush via Instagram.Of course, many will remember that Chris Gayle made headlines back in January after flirting inappropriately with Channel 10’s Mel McLaughlin during a Big Bash interview. After telling her he “just [wanted] to see [her] eyes for the first time” and inviting her out for a drink (all on camera, mind you), he said to McLaughlin, “Don’t blush, baby.”
Blush. Blush. Yeah, now you’re getting it. Of course, we wish Chris and Blush's mother Tasha all the best, and congratulate them on the safe delivery of a healthy baby who has done absolutely nothing wrong. And yet… Blush. We couldn’t find ‘Blush’ on a list of popular West Indian girl names. ‘Blush’ also reveals zero results on BehindTheName.com. According to Baby Center, ‘Blush’ was the 14,299th most popular girl’s name of 2014. All of this is to say, you don’t accidentally name a child ‘Blush’. If you were found, just four months earlier, using a word in a manner that inspired a heap of criticism and bad press, you might think about not naming your daughter after said word. That’s like Ariana Grande calling her kid, ‘Donut’. This feels like a bit, Chris. You really shouldn’t name your kids as a bit. Keep an eye on his Instagram to see if this really is on the level.
