The jaffles at Parliament on King are to die for and they cater to whatever your taste buds are feeling at the time.

Feeling something savoury? You can pretty much design your own jaffle and stuff it with salmon, cheese, beans, pesto…really whatever tickles your fancy.

The TLC they put into their homemade pesto has such a home-y taste and I definitely recommend trying it.

Or, if you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, Parliament offers you the funky ricotta and Nutella jaffle. I was as sceptical about it as you probably are, but trust me, this was a match made in heaven. What’s even better is that you’re not going to need more than a $10 note for all this!

Also, where else are you going to find a skillfully crafted coffee served on the cutest vintage chinaware for $3? Parliament provides the perfect vibe for one of those much-needed coffee catch ups with friends (without the subsequent bank account dieting).

And on top of ALL this, you come across amazing people with the most interesting stories FOR FREE.

Parliament offers asylum seekers, refugees and recent arrivals in hospitality a chance to develop credited café skills, including food preparation and friendly, efficient customer service.

Parliament provides a beautiful, relaxed and warm atmosphere that you feel comfortable in right away. They treat their customers as friends and even your beloved four-legged buddies are welcome!

I would definitely recommend Parliament on King for a relaxed lunch in an environment that gives you reprieve from the busy-ness of everyday life and doesn’t make your wallet have an existential crisis.
