Captain Obvious Alert: Queen Bey Is the Highest Paid Woman in Music

In other news, the sky is blue.
Each year, Forbes Magazine releases a list of the top-paid humans in the world and, in a reveal that no one blinked twice at, Beyoncé is the highest paid female musician for this year.
Who run the (music) world? Probably Yoncé.

Forbes is reporting that Bey brought in $US105 million ($AUD135.5 million) in bacon (codeword for real money) on the back of the incredibly successful release of Lemonade and the subsequent Formation tour.
Second on the list was Adele who made a cool $US69 million ($AUD91 million) from her Adele Live tour promoting her 25 album. She was followed by Taylor Swift, who made $US44 million ($AUD58 million), which was still considered a quiet year for her compared to the previous year where she came first and made $US170 million ($AUD224 million). Yikes.
Also featuring in the top ten list was your parents' faves Celine Dion (number four), Jennifer Lopez (number five), Dolly Parton (number six) and Barbara Streisand (number 10).
So, next time one of your friends throws shade at your elected queen, politely remind them who's definitely in charge.
