Breaking Bieber Fever With The Worst Concert Ever

We asked Student Edge members what their "worst. concert. ever." was and why. This guy's name came up a lot.

When I was thirteen, I caught a dreadful disease. It took over my life. There was no cure. I can't even say it anymore without shuddering: BIEBER FEVER. And due to the unfortunate symptoms of this common case, I became an obsessed, teenage fan-girl.

It all started back in 2011. When I heard Justin Bieber on the radio for the first time; there was no turning back. Listening to his songs on repeat and dreaming about him all night long led me to the second stage of the contagious fever: what doctors call the ‘I LOVE HIM, I WILL MARRY HIM’ stage. It was one of the scariest times of my life. I didn't think I would ever get better.

Then, it happened. Justin announced his first world tour. Girls went crazy. I went crazy. Everyone just went crazy. I begged my mum for tickets and she couldn't say no. Everything was all good and dandy. But by the night of the concert, I hadn't found anyone to go with, and so, I went alone. This was me: a thirteen-year-old alone in a massive building full of screaming girls. Cue the worst concert ever.

I waited in line, got inside, found my seat and then realised I couldn't even see the stage properly. Justin was an hour late. The supporting act was… well that's another story. Finally The One we had been waiting for came on stage but no one could hear him singing over all the screams. I tried to dance but was glared at by the family sitting next to me. In that time, I also realised Justin… wasn't very good live. Like, at all. My fantasies and Bieber obsession were shredded to pieces. I cried. It was finally over. My worst concert ever cured me from the fan-girl fever. I was free. Well, at the expense of a really bad concert, but probably for the best.
