Beyoncé, Kevin Hart, Rihanna, Chance And More Star In Viral #BlackLivesMatter Video

Mic. has dropped a new video to their Facebook page listing the “23 ways you could be killed if you are black”.
It comes in the wake of the recent shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, which have resulted in widespread #BlackLivesMatter protests across America.
The video sees Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Chris Rock, Pink, Talib Kweli, Janelle Monáe, Chance the Rapper, Taraji P. Henson, Pharrell, Common, Queen Latifah, Kevin Hart, Rosario Dawson, Swizz Beats, Lenny Kravitz, Zoë Kravitz, A$AP Rocky, Jada Pinkett Smith, Bono, Jennifer Hudson, Van Jones, Tracee Ellis Ross, Adam Levine, Maxwell and Rihanna all listing some of the disturbing ways black Americans have been murdered in recent years, in many instances, by police officers.
They include “failing to signal a lane change”, “running to the bathroom in your own apartment”, “making eye contact”, “wearing a hoodie”, “sitting in your car before your bachelor party” and “calling for help after an accident”.
The talent was corralled by Alicia Keys and the We Are Here movement, who are seeking signatures for a petition calling on President Obama and Congress to “right our historic wrongs and heal the wounds of systemic racism so that all Americans have the equal right to pursue happiness.”
As of this writing, the video honouring Sterling, Castile, Sandra Bland (discovered dead in her jail cell after a minor traffic violation one year ago), 12-year-old Tamir Rice and Oscar Grant III (the subject of the film Fruitvale Station), among many others, has been viewed more than five million times.
