Here’s All the Best Tea Spilled in the Harry Potter Reunion

Or should we say, butterbeer?

The highly anticipated reunion of the Harry Potter cast finally premiered on New Year’s Day, and it got 2022 off to the right start with some juicy revelations.

Alan Rickman knew the plot twists before all the books had been published.

The late Alan Rickman, aka Professor Snape, had the full scoop the whole time.

Daniel Radcliffe spilled the tea to Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), saying “he had the inside line. He very, very early said to Jo (J.K. Rowling), he was like, ‘I think I need to know what happens.’

“Chris [Columbus] would literally say to him, ‘Why are you doing that like that?’ He’d say, ‘I’ll tell you later.’”

Emma Watson almost quit after the fourth movie.

Understandably, the limelight affected Emma, and by the fourth movie she was tempted to call it quits.

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) weighed in on the revelation, “people definitely forget what she took on and how gracefully she did it. Dan [Radcliffe] and Rupert [Grint], they had each other. I had my cronies, whereas Emma was not only younger, she was by herself," he said.

“I did find a diary entry that was kind of like, hmmm,” Watson said. “I could see that, at times, I was lonely.”

Thank God she stayed, because we cannot even conceive of another actress playing the iconic Hermoine Granger.

Daniel Radcliffe had a crush on Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange).

One of the more endearing and giggle-worthy surprises to come out of the reunion was when HBC revealed a letter that Daniel Radcliffe wrote her.

“Dear HBC, it was a pleasure being your co-star and coaster in the sense that I always ended up holding your coffee.

“I do love you and I just wish I’d been born 10 years earlier. I might’ve been in with a chance. Lots of love and thanks for being cool.”

Emma Watson fell in love with Tom Felton on set.

This one’s got the whole world’s hearts pounding.

There’s always been rumours of romantic dalliances between Watson and Felton, and the actress and actor have even confirmed developing crushes on one another during the first two movies.

But we just got a whole ‘nother level of swoon, when Watson told us about the moment she saw Felton at tutoring on set.

“The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like. And Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard.

“And I just don’t know how to say it. I just fell in love with him.”

Felton later added, “Emma and I have always loved each other, really.”

However, the two made it clear that nothing romantic has ever happened between them.
