Ben Simmons Is the First Aussie to Grace an "NBA 2K" Cover

Ben Simmons is the NBA 2K cover star we deserve.

The cover stars for the upcoming NBA 2K19 have been announced and among them is Australia's very own Rookie of the Year, Ben Simmons.

While the Philadelphia 76ers point guard will only feature on the Australian and New Zealand editions of the upcoming game, we'll take what we can get.

That's because the international cover features Milwaukee Bucks' superstar player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, while the United States' edition will display LA Lakers' new pick James LeBron. So, you know, light competition, really.

The actual cover itself is something special because it features some pretty significant words and icons in the foreground. There's an Australian flag, a boxing kangaroo, the Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy and "Simmo", surely his nickname in Australian.

You're doing us bloody proud, Simmo.

NBA 2K19 will be available to take over your life on PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC on 11 September.
