Aussie-Born Baller Ben Simmons Says His NBA Debut "Felt Like I Was Playing 2K"

Ben Simmons made his NBA debut yesterday, after being the #1 pick of the 2016 draft.
(Shortly after he was recruited by the Philadelphia 76ers, he broke his foot and was forced to sit out the entire season. It was very upsetting. We don’t want to talk about it.)
Anyway, the Melbourne-born champ managed 18 points and five assists for the 76ers, in an honourable 120 – 115 loss to the Washington Wizards.
But if he was disappointed about taking the L, he didn’t show it in his first post-game interview.
"It felt like I was playing 2K, honestly," he said, describing the video game, according to ESPN.
"Just looking at [teammate] Joel Embiid out there with the lights on his jersey. I was like, 'man, I'm actually here.'"
It’s worth noting Embiid had minor surgery in March to repair his torn meniscus, and it’s not known if that will affect the number of games he can play this season.
Meanwhile, Markelle Fultz, the first pick of the 2017 NBA draft, also made his debut for the 76ers yesterday. However, he seems to be dealing with a shoulder injury that’s harming his free-throw game.
This is not a very lucky team. But at least Simmons is having fun.
