Batten Down The Hatches; A Beef Is (Maybe) Brewing Between Drake And Eminem

We may be in the eye of the Kimye-Swift storm, but another big beef is brewing in the music ecosphere.

According to hip hop commentator Ebro Darden, we might soon see a feud between two of the biggest names in rap history: Drake and Eminem.

If you haven’t been following Drake’s current feud with Joe Budden, basically… they’re feuding.

Okay, a tiny bit more info: Budden’s a New Jersey MC who slammed Views; Drake offered a few burns of his own in response; Budden, taking a leaf out of Drake’s own battle with Meek Mill, has started releasing a steady stream of diss tracks. No biggie, really.

Problem is, Budden belongs to Eminem’s label, and Eminem is a biggie.

As Ebro recounted to the Hot 97 radio show (reported by XXL), he mentioned to Drake that “Eminem was going to gear up to come after him”.

“[Drake] was like, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ He’s like, ‘He’d never do that. And if he did, I got something for him, too.’”

Ebro later took to Twitter to say he was just joking.

But here’s an excerpt from his radio appearance, when asked if this was for real.

“Was he joking when he said he had something more?”

“I don’t know. That’s what he said.”

“Did you tell him you were going to repeat this on the radio?”

“No, of course not.”
