For "Back To The Future" Day, We Road-Tested A Hoverboard (Kind Of)

Self-tying shoelaces? Not yet. Dehydrated pizza? Still but a dream. Hoverboards? Almost!

When Back to the Future II hit cinemas in 1989, it promised a future that seemed too good to be true.

Sure, a lot of its predictions eventually became a reality: from the resurgence of 3-D movies to the ubiquity – and personalisation – of outdoor advertising.

Yet, as we arrive at October 21, 2015 – the date Marty and Doc Brown travelled to - its most novel invention remains out of our grasp. Or does it?!

Our friends at Airwheel Australia shared some of their “hoverboards” (aka, the H1 Smart Board) for us to test drive on this hallowed day.

The future is now! Kind of!
