Back To School With Taylor Henderson

Taylor Henderson helps us wrap up the fifth season of Back to School With!
This post is presented in partnership with Bankwest.
Our webseries Back to School With invites Australia's most interesting and successful people to share stories from their school days. In each ep, they let us know how they landed their dream careers, as well as how they faced all those inevitable obstacles of teenagerdom along the way.
In the first four seasons, we interviewed David Koch, Julie Bishop, Samantha Jade, Dr. Karl, Daniel Ricciardo, Tom Ballard, Gretel Killeen, John Marsden and many, many other fascinating peeps.
And yet, Season Five looks to be our biggest season to date.
In the eighth and final episode of the new season, we chat with singer Taylor Henderson, the X Factor and Australia's Got Talent fave. Taylor told us how he almost became the country's first builder/masseuse and how his friends ultimately inspired him to put aside his back-up plans and pursue a career in music. (With two #1 albums to his name, it paid off.)
"I was brought up in a really Christian, really strict vibe. In this church, if you did something wrong, you felt really guilty for it. I’ve learnt that over the years that, if something happens you have to accept that’s how it happens, you just have to have grace and understand that you can move on and you just have to forgive yourself and make sure the people around you are good people."
Check out our chat.
That's it for Back to School With in 2016. The series will return in 2017 with some pretty big names...
In the meantime, catch up with previous seasons:
