Back To School With Kelly Cartwright

She's a Paralympian, OAM recipient and Dancing With The Stars fave, all by age 26. Impressive!
This post is presented in partnership with Bankwest.
In 2015, we interviewed Anthony Albanese, Michael Caton, Marie Bashir, Tom Ballard and too many other fascinating peeps to mention. Tough to top, right?
Well, in Season 3 of Back to School With, we're kicking it up a notch.
Our webseries Back to School With invites Australia's most interesting and successful people to share stories from their school days. In each episode, they let us know how they landed their dream careers, as well as how they faced all those inevitable obstacles of teenagerdom along the way.
In the third episode of Season 3, we speak with gold medal-winning Paralympic long-jumper (as well as Dancing with the Stars fave) Kelly Cartwright. Check out the chat below, in which Kelly reveals she felt "a bit lost" in the first few years of high school, much preferring netball to school work. She also explains how a cancer diagnosis that led to the amputation of part of her right leg in Year 10 changed everything.
(By the way, you'll notice that Kelly is pregnant in the below video. She has since given birth to a baby boy named Max. Congrats!)
We'll meet you back here next week for the fourth episode of BTSW Season 3!
