Australia Didn't Win Eurovision Again, But We Definitely Won... Hearts?

Australia's best hopes were shattered after a top ten placing in Eurovision.
One of the world's weirdest song contests, Eurovision, has just finished for another year and while Australia didn't take out first place, we won something else.
In Australia's corner of the ring was a pop-opera performance of "Zero Gravity" by Kate Miller-Heidke on moving stilts.
Mystical. Entrancing. Deadly.
I mean, just look at it.
She'd already blitzed the semi-finals so we got very excited for what we were sure was a win (or at least, a close second).
But alas, the world is a cruel place and Australia landed in ninth place.

So, no, we didn't win again. But it's safe to say we won the consolation prize of winning over the hearts of most of the Eurovision audience.
I love this one so much, it gives me goosebumps.

Look, it's not the sucked-in-Europe bragging rights we were all hoping for, but we'll take the people's prize any day.
