Aussie NFL Recruit Jarryd Hayne's Jerseys Are The Most Popular In The NFL Right Now

Aussie rugby-player turned NFL recruit Jarryd Hayne has been turning plenty of heads during the pre-season.
So, it was no surprise to learn he had secured a spot on the San Francisco 49ers' 53-man squad over the weekend, just in time for the season proper to start.
As a result, his No.38 jersey has become the most popular shirt on the NFL’s online store.
According to SMH, the 'Men's San Francisco 49ers Jarryd Hayne Nike Scarlet Game Jersey' is outselling every other available option, including – in second place - the 'Pro Line Mens San Francisco 49ers Jarryd Hayne Team Color Jersey'.
The jerseys of Tom Brady and Odell Beckham Jr. – and, really, every other NFL player – trail Hayne’s two jumpers.
They’re selling for $US99.95… at the moment.
As a player for the NRL’s Parramatta Eels, Hayne was earning close to $AUD1 million a season. Upon joining the 49ers earlier this year, the 27-year-old’s salary was reduced to $AUD600 a week.
However, his new three-year deal with San Fran is worth $AUD2.3 million. You can just imagine the endorsement deals he’ll secure if his popularity continues to surge.
Hayne admitted that receiving confirmation about making the 53-man team brought him to tears.
The 49ers will begin their season next Monday, against the Minnesota Vikings. Only 46 active players can be named for the match though, so it’s not guaranteed Hayne will make his debut next week.
Then again, given that Hayne finished the preseason with the best average rushing yards per carry in the NFL, it seems fairly likely.
