Well, pull ‘em out, because Apple has issued a worldwide recall of a particular two prong AC charger it’s been selling since 2003.

Apparently, “in very rare cases”, these adapters have been found to break and “create a risk of electrical shock if touched.”

Here’s what you need to look for: AC wall plug adapters from between 2003 and 2015, shipped with Mac and certain iOS devices. These adapters are used not only in Australia but also New Zealand, Continental Europe, Korea, Argentina and Brazil. They were included in the Apple World Travel Adapter kit too.

Check the inside slot, where the plug prongs attach, and look for the characters inside. Adapters with four or five characters – or no characters – should no longer be used. The redesigned adapters have a three-letter regional code where those characters used to be: AUS, EUR, KOR, ARG or BRA.

Find out how to return and exchange affected adapters here. Stay safe out there.
