Another Mysterious Monolith Has Appeared and This Is Peak 2020

Could the aliens pls stop? We've had enough this year, thanks.

So, just when we thought we could relax, someone has gone and found another mysterious metal monolith on top of a hill in Atascadero, California today.

This new structure is a little smaller than the other monoliths at just three metres tall, but other than that it is almost an exact match to the two others that were found in Utah and Romania in November.

The only difference? It's not actually attached to the ground, so hikers are being warned to steer clear as it could be very easily pushed over.

Of course, we don’t know how it got there or where it came from but according to the hiker that found it, it was not there yesterday.

In case you missed it, on 17 November a giant metal monolith was discovered in a desert in Utah—just chillin—and no one knows how it got there or where it came from.

Ah, classic 2020 behaviour.

The first monolith, which was illegally installed into the ground in a red rock slot canyon south of Moab, was found by Utah Department of Public Saftey Aero Bureau officers who were out counting bighorn sheep.

The officers discovered the 3.4 metre tall structure when they flew directly over it and decided they had to take a closer look.

According to Google Earth maps, the structure had been there between August 2015 and October 2016, but went unnoticed until recently.

While some believed the structure was an art peice, others were getting serious alien vibes.

Of course, authorities had tried to keep the location quiet but that didn’t stop people from discovering the exact GPS coordinates from images dating back to 2016. This prompted a bunch of hikers to go up to the area and take a closer look.

While the discovery was weird enough, the first monolith disappeared pretty much as quickly as it came. It was reported missing on 27 November after some more hikers discovered the spot empty.

As you could’ve guessed, pretty much the whole world reckons it was an act of alien activity. However, the Bureau of Land Management spoiled the sci-fi vibes by claiming that a group of four men had removed the structure overnight.

Plus, just when we thought we could forget all about it, some guy in Romania spotted a twin monolith on a hillside near a well-known archaeological landmark called the Petrodava Dacain Fortress on 26 November.

Haha nope, I’m out.

The second monolith—almost identical to the one in the US—stands at 4 metres tall and was covered in circular scratch patterns.

The area where it stands is considered a protected area and private property, so whoever put it there is breaking some rules big time.

In the footage of the second monolith, a man can be seen knocking on the structure, revealing that it’s likely hollow.

Aaaand just when you thought it couldn’t get any creepier, the second monolith just up and disappeared like the first one.

*Begins building bunker.*

On Tuesday, the spot where the shiny metal pillar was found appeared empty. All that could be seen was just some rocky soil and a hole left in the ground.

Unlike the structure in Utah, there are no suggestions about who removed the second monolith—it’s all just guesses at this point.

After this wild mystery, I’m sure a lot of people are convinced that aliens are about to get us. Honestly, it's 2020 so we wouldn't even be surprised.

The only question on my mind is: Where and when will the next one appear? It's only a matter of time before this third one vanishes.
