Turns Out Anna Kendrick And Rebel Wilson Will Return For Pitch Perfect 3 After All

Remember how it seemed as if Anna Kendrick’s character was being written out of the Pitch Perfect franchise, and how we all seemed sure she was uninterested in returning for another sequel?

Well, never mind!

Universal Pictures, just days after confirming Pitch Perfect 3 was actually happening, has assured fans that stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson would definitely lead the next picture.

Universal also gave the picture an official release date: July 21, 2017.

Kendrick doubled-down on the announcement by Tweeting this:

Then again, maybe she’s referring to a third round of eye surgery, because it looks as if they’re still unable to pry that left one open.

Elizabeth Banks will return to produce along with her husband Max Handelamn, though it’s unknown if she’ll direct as well.

Kay Cannon, who scripted Parts 1&2, will be back to complete the trilogy as screenwriter.

Again, we can only reiterate our desire to see Das Sound Machine brought back as villains. We ask for so little, movie gods! Grant us this one request!
