Amazon Is Coming To Australia; We Hope You (And Your Wallets) Are Ready For This

Amazon is finally coming to Australia. No more ridiculous shipping fees and the angering message, "product not available in your country," yay!
Gizmodo reports the mega online retailer, Amazon, will be setting up in every state of Australia next year.
They'll be selling and distributing online (of course), but here's a plot twist for you: Some regional areas will be lucky enough to get physical stores too.
Justin Braitling, chief investment officer at Watermark Funds Management, was briefed by the Amazon figurehead responsible for rolling out the Australian action plan.
In his words, "We are going to destroy the retail environment in Australia."
Amazon's entry to Australia has been delayed again. Local retailers should be scrambling to prepare the impending juggernaut.

Amazon currently runs 11 marketplaces: USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, China and India.
Braitling said the Australia "go-live" date has been pushed back from March to September next year, in order to have the fresh food offerings ready. Yes, you heard right.
Fresh food offerings.
(Wonder how Woolworths and Coles will feel about this, hmm.)
For everyone else though, the excitement is so real.
No words can express my happiness that Amazon is coming to Australia. 😭

Amazing to see Alibaba (Alipay) and Amazon (all products) coming to Australia. We're finally not getting stiffed because we're so far away.
