Adam Levine Will Pay For Christina Grimmie's Funeral

Adam Levine will pay for the funeral of late Voice contestant Christina Grimmie, E! News confirms.

It was initially just a rumour that Levine, Christina’s coach during her time on The Voice, had reached out to the family to cover expenses for her funeral, including her mother’s travel arrangements.

His representatives later confirmed Levine’s generosity.

Christina’s brother Marcus took to Facebook to say he was “blown away” by Levine’s offer.

“I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away,” he wrote.

A GoFundMe page was also established to support the Grimmie family. So far, it has raised $139,000 in two days, eclipsing its goal of $4,000.

A Change.org petition to have Christina memorialised in the next Legend of Zelda game is also accumulating thousands of signatures. (On YouTube, where she had more than three million followers, she was known as ZeldaxLove64.)

Grimmie’s friend, Selena Gomez, broke down in concert over the weekend during a song dedication.

Christina, 22, was murdered at a meet-and-greet in Orlando by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl on Saturday.

After being tackled by Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, the suspect killed himself.
