A Very Good Service Dog Made It Into His Human’s High School Yearbook

Goood high school yearbook committee.
Alpha, the very good service dog of 16-year-old Andrew Schalk, has been given the ultimate tribute by Schalk’s school: a photo in the yearbook.
Stafford High School in Virginia had already given Alpha a Student ID, as he was a fixture on campus, regularly sniffing Andrew’s breath to see if his blood sugar was getting low. (Schalk has Type 1 diabetes.)
Alpha’s job required him to sit under Andrew’s desk all day long. So, theoretically, he received just as much education as his owner.
Schalk told Mashable that the school’s teachers and administrators were entirely on board with his request to squeeze Alpha into the yearbook.
Well, when a dog walks around your school wearing a fetching neckerchief, how can you say no?
