A Bunch of "PUBG" Hackers and Cheaters Have Been Arrested and Fined $6.3 Million

The developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds aren’t playing.
It’s not been the best year for PUBG, but maybe things are about to turn around for the multiplayer game.
Fifteen hackers have been arrested in China and fined 30mil RNB ($AU6.3 million) for "developing and selling hacking/cheating programs" that affect PlayerUnknown’s Battleground.
In a statement, "PUBG Corp." revealed they’d been working with "multiple partners and judicial authorities to bring these people to justice."
"We take cheating extremely seriously," they added. No duh.
"Developing, selling, promoting, or using unauthorised hacking/cheating programs isn’t just unfair for others playing PUBG—in many places, it’s also against the law," the statement continues.
According to a translated statement from local authorities, "other suspects related to this case are still being investigated."
While the makers continues their work to create a safe environment for players, they’ve warned of Trojan horse software included in cheating programs sold by the hackers, used to "control users’ PCs" and "extract information illegally".
So, be careful out there.
