A 30YO Man's Parents Have Gone to Court to Kick Him Out of the Family Home

When is it too late to leave the family nest?
A 30-year-old New York man has been ordered by the Supreme Court to vacate his parents' home after he refused to leave.
The man, Michael Rotondo, argued to the judge that he required another six months to get all his stuff in order, and then he would be on his way.
His parents, however, have been trying to get him to formally leave the family nest for months, sending letters asking him to leave and even offering him $US1,100 to help him move out.

One letter, written in February, read: "Michael, after a discussion with your mother, we have decided that you must leave this house immediately. You have 14 days to vacate. You will not be allowed to return. We will take whatever actions are necessary to enforce this decision."
They explained that he does not pay rent or help with the household chores and has consistently refused help from them when they've offered to help him move.
Michael moved back in with his parents eight years ago after he lost his job at the time. He has been there ever since.
After the court case, Michael returned to his parents' home, Syracuse.com reports, where he will remain until his parents produce a reasonable eviction notice that the court will sign off on.
