Your Rundown on the Grammy Nominations for 2025

Who’s gonna take home a golden gramophone?

We’ve seen some incredible albums come out from so many amazing artists in this past year. From The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan to Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé – it’s no doubt that music’s biggest night is being swept up by some amazing artists with this year being particularly female dominated.

Who’s nominated for Album of the Year?

The Grammy Awards have us on the edge of our seats every year, waiting to see who will take home the Album of the Year Award and who will be snubbed.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has been nominated for Album of the Year as well as Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Jacob Collier’s Djesse Vol. 4, Charli XCX’s Brat, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department and Andre 3000’s flute instrumental album New Blue Sun.

Record of the Year nominees include The Beatles with "Now and Then," Beyoncé's "Texas Hold 'Em," and Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone with "Fortnight," among others.

Beyoncé is making Grammy history with 11 nominations and extending her record as the most nominated artist of all time with a career total of 99 nominations. Following behind Beyoncé are Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish who all have seven nominations. Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are all in the running with six nominations.

Who are the emerging artists for this year?

The Best New Artist category is showing a mix of rising stars from heaps of different genres including Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Khruangbin, RAYE, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey and Teddy Swims.

It’s a tough call between Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan next year with both of them being nominated in all four major categories: Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. We’re excited to see who will reign supreme in this pop renaissance era.

What are some other categories and artists to look out for?

The buzz from Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” has not died down by any means with him being nominated for Record of the Year alongside six other nominations.

Plus, The Beatles have made a surprising entry into major categories with their song “Now and Then”. This marks the first time since the late 1990s that The Beatles have received a Grammy nomination.
