Frequently Asked Questions
1. I want to apply to UNSW. Where do I start?
Admission to UNSW is based on academic merit. We receive all applications for domestic students through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), which accepts applications for admission to most NSW/ACT undergraduate degrees. A domestic student is any Australian citizen/permanent resident or New Zealand citizen. Jump online to the 'Apply' section of the UAC website and you can nominate up to nine degrees you’d like to study in order of preference.
2. Where is UNSW and how do I get there?
UNSW actually has three distinct campuses, with the largest based in Kensington, Sydney – a short ride to the city centre and world famous beaches, including Coogee and Bondi. The campus is so big it has it’s own postcode. A UNSW express bus from Central Station takes only 12 minutes.
3. Where can I find more information about my study options?
There isn’t a ‘one degree fits all’ policy here. Whether you know exactly what you want to do for a career or you are still exploring, at UNSW we have 8 outstanding Faculties and UNSW Canberra at ADFA, which means we can offer you a diverse range of study areas to suit your interests.
