Competition Winners
Are you a budding writer? A would-be social commentator? A critic? A poet? Just someone with an opinion to share?
We want to hear from you!
Simply write a 400-word article on any topic you choose, in the style of our previous writing challenge responses.
Your article could be a response to a recent news item; a review of a movie, book or album; a hot take on a controversial subject; or a personal reflection on the issues facing teenagers today, either in the classroom or in the outside world. (Or, maybe it's just a helpful list. We love lists!)
Up to four articles will be published a month, and the authors of the selected articles will win a $50 gift card from Westfield. Winners may be selected at any point throughout the month. You can only submit one article for consideration per day. If we don't receive submissions of a publishable quality, as deemed by our Editor, none will be run. Remember: One-line answers don't tend to make for an entertaining article. (This isn't one of those 25 words or less competitions.) So, put your thinking caps on and write something you think others will find interesting. Read other articles on the Student Edge site to get an idea of our Tone of Voice. Above all, make sure you speak from the heart, and from your unique perspective as a student!

I really like your writing competition but there is one thing l don't like. The thing l don't like is that I want topics to write about you know l don't wanna keep writing about my opinion.
