Do you consider yourself a budding writer or social commentator?

Well, we’ve got the perfect challenge for you (if you’re up to it). Welcome to the Student Edge writing challenge, where you’re invited to write on a topic nominated by us.

You have two weeks to submit your entry and the winning story will be published in our Student Edge News/Life section and win you a $50 Mastercard e-gift card.

Keep it smart, keep it clean and most of all, keep it under 500 words.

The writing challenge topic is:

What new subject should be taught in schools and why?
Is there something you want to learn about that you’re just not being taught in the classroom? Tell us what new subject you’d introduce and why it’d be beneficial in the long run.
