What's the most expensive thing you've lost or broken?  Writing Competition

We've all been there before.

There is absolutely nothing worse than the feeling of accidentally losing or breaking an expensive item. It is especially heartbreaking if you saved for months and months to buy it, or if it was gifted to you by a loved one. 

So, we're wondering: What is the most expensive thing you've lost or broken? Tell us your story in 50 words or less, detailing what you lost or broke, and how you lost/broke it. 

Did you try to conduct a heroic mission to retrieve, or fix the item? We want to hear about that too!

The most devastating and hilarious answers will be featured in an article we're putting together in partnership with Eclipse Insure.
