Win a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift card  Writing Competition

Instagram. Facebook. Snapchat. Twitter. WhatsApp. Weibo. Tumblr. YouTube. Reddit. TikTok. Maybe even LinkedIn! These social media apps have totally invaded our lives. Sometimes for good. Sometimes... for bad. Mostly, we've all just gotten used to them.

The Office of the eSafety Commissioner is hosting some live panels about this very subject on Thursday 12 September, and they want to know how young people are "negotatiting the highs and lows" of social media. So, we want you to share with us some of your own stories and personal experiences with those social media apps.

How has social media made life better? How has it made life harder?

How often do you check each of those apps? Do they make you feel more or less connected to the world around you?

Speak honestly, and from the heart, and the best answer (under 400 words) will WIN a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift card.

Plus, if you're between the ages of 13 and 17, you could be selected to participate in the Office of the eSafety Commissioner's live panels, and become the voice of your generation (well, a voice of your generation). We will individually reach out to entrants who might be eligible to participate in the panels. Please indicate in your response if you do not want to be considered.
