Hey, budding writers and social commentators everywhere.
Welcome to the Student Edge writing challenge, where you’re invited to write on a topic nominated by us.
You have one week to submit your entry. The winning story will be published on Student Edge. For their troubles, the winner will score a $50 gift card from Westfield.
Keep it smart, keep it clean and most of all, keep it under three minutes reading time.
Here's a TIP: One line answers don't tend to make for an entertaining article (this isn't one of those 25 words or less competitions), so put your thinking caps on and write something you think others will find interesting.
Check out our guide to winning the writing challenge for some dos and don'ts.
Your latest writing challenge is:
The Highs (And Lows) Of The 2016 AFL Season
With the Finals before us, let's reflect on the best (and very worst) moments of the AFL season (on and off the field).
Deadline: 28/08/2016 11:59:00 PM EST

Hi student edge,
I can't submit my entry because it's saying that I'm over the word limit. But this comp isn't a 25 word or less comp! Is this a mistake or is it a 25 word or less comp?
That's a very good point you make Renee. Thanks for heads up. We're on it and will have it fixed shortly.
