Academy Award® winning director Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Frost/Nixon) returns to direct the third instalment of Dan Brown's bestselling Robert Langdon series, Inferno. In this contemporary action thriller, global superstar Tom Hanks (The Da Vinci Code, Saving Private Ryan) reprises his role as Langdon, the famous symbologist who finds himself the target of a manhunt.

In the heart of Italy, Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centred on one of history's most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces: Dante's Inferno. When he wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones, The Theory of Everything, Like Crazy), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a virus that would wipe out half of the world's population. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science.
