Optus is inviting filmmakers of all levels to create a five-minute film that ties into a special theme. This year, it's all about Connecting Lives.

Think about it. We're more connected than ever before. Sharing thoughts and building on amazing ideas has never been easier. Through mobile devices we all have a platform to capture our own stories.

Here's your brief. Create a five-minute film that tells a story around Connecting Lives and what we could do to make people's lives better.

Submissions close: 30 September, 2016.
Judging takes place: 3 - 7 October, 2016.

Level 1: Australian Competition - Judges will review and award two Australian winners with $5,000 each and a trip for 2 people to Bangkok, Thailand November 2016 to take part in the Regional finals

Level 2: Regional Finals, Bangkok - Two Australian winners will then further compete against the winners from six other countries for their chance to win a grand prize of US$30,000 and a runner up prize of US$15,000
