You Can Now Apply For a Job at McDonald's Through Snapchat Because It’s 2017, Baby

McDonald's and Snapchat have teamed up to create a new Maccas filter that can double as a job application.
Snaplications, as they’ve cheekily called it, will see young users choosing the filter, explaining themselves in 10 seconds and then sending it to McDonald's on Snapchat.
Once they send it, the Snaplication will be reviewed and the snaplicant will be sent a link to download an application form.

Don’t get too excited, however. It won’t be replacing face-to-face interviews any time soon.
Speaking to News Corp, Chief Operating Officer of McDonald’s Australia, Shaun Ruming, explained that they were looking for innovative ways to reach out to potential young employees.
“We’re looking for that positivity, bubbly personality; someone we think would be good in a customer service role,” he said.
About 65 per cent of McDonald's 100,000 employees are under the age of 18, making them the biggest employers for Australian youths.
