World Pride is Coming To Sydney, And They’ve Announced An Absolutely Bonkers Lineup

Charli XCX, Kelly Rowland, Kylie Minogue and More.

It’s about 100 days until World Pride hits the harbour city for the very first time, and to get us pumped, they’ve announced a huuuge line-up of entertainment.

February’s World Pride events will include performances from international megastars Kelly Rowland and Charli XCX, alongside Australia’s sweetheart’s Jess Mauboy and Kylie Minogue.

I’m pretty sure if you look up ‘slay’ in the dictionary, it comes up with those four names.

They’ll be headlining the Live and Proud Opening concert on February 24, which will see 10,000 concertgoers descend on Sydney’s The Domain.

The opening concert will not only feature the on-stage queens but will also be hosted by Courtney Act (Australia’s favourite drag queen) and Casey Donovan (winner of Australian Idol way back in 2004).

Can’t make it? Don’t stress, because the show’s also going to be broadcast nationwide on the ABC.

If that sounds good – that’s just the opening ceremony.

There are over 300 events taking place between February 17 and 5 March including a 12,000 person Bondi Beach Party, a record 17-day ‘Mega Mardi Gras’, a Pride walk across the Harbour Bridge.

They’ll take place alongside First Nations and Human Rights conferences, sporting events, art exhibitions, film festivals and so much more.

This is a huge pride festival, not only because of its massive line-up but because of its global significance.

WorldPride 2023 will mark 45 years since the first Sydney Mardi Gras, and will be the first WorldPride event to be hosted in the Southern Hemisphere.

Tickets are on sale now, so head to the WorldPride hub to book in and plan your trip.
