When’s the Final Season of "The Good Place" Coming to Netflix Australia?

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.

The Good Place—your favourite morality-based, afterlife-themed sitcom set across multiple planes of reality and varied altered dimensions—is getting ready to say goodbye (for real this time).

As showrunner Michael Schur told Student Edge last year, there’s a specific ending they’ve been building to since Season 1.

"It was part of the design of the show from very early on, that we were just gonna move really fast and chew up a lot of story, and things that would normally happen in the season finale, we’re gonna move up and have them happen in the middle of the season, and things that would normally happen in Season 4 were gonna happen in Season 2," he said.

"Because we have this plan, from the beginning, it’s been crazy but we’ve been prepared for it."

But are you prepared to say farewell to Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Jason (Manny Jacinto), Michael (Ted Danson), Janet (D’Arcy Carden), and, of course, our precious, precious Derek (Jason Mantzoukas)?

Well, you’re running out of time to get to that healthy emotional space, because the final batch of episodes begins rolling out in the United States on NBC from Thursday 26 September, as confirmed by this brand new poster.

We predict the first episode will debut on Australian Netflix around Friday 27 September (technically fast-tracked from the US, because of the time difference, as per previous seasons), with new episodes rolling out each Friday. However, we have contacted Netflix to confirm this for us (just in case they want to tell us, actually, we’re in the bad place, and the final season won’t debut here until 2023). Update (21/08): Netflix has confirmed that Season 4 of The Good Place will debut down under on 27 September 2019.

The fourth and final season will be made up of 14 episodes, with the series finale being one hour long.
