What to Expect in the World of Formula One in 2023

Here’s what we know about the grid for next year.

2023 is guaranteed to be an exciting year for all Formula One fans, with incoming rookies and F1 icons leaving the grid.

First, a look at the line up.

  • Alfa Romeo: Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
  • AlphaTauri: Nyck de Vries and Yuki Tsunoda.
  • Alpine: Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
  • Aston Martin: Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso.
  • Ferrari: Charles LeClerc and Carlos Sainz Jr.
  • Haas: Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg.
  • McLaren: Lando Noris and Oscar Piastri.
  • Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
  • Red Bull: Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
  • Williams: Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant.

Enter the new young guns.

Dutch driver Nyck de Vries was 2021’s Formula E champion who left us shocked when he filled in for Alex Albon in Willians after a high points-score in Monza. De Vries will officially debut in the iconic AlphaTauri blue and white.

Oscar Piastri, a young 21-year-old Melbournian, replaces our beloved Honey Badger this year. Piastri won the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup with R-ace GP and won the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship and 2021 Formula 2 Championship. We will see Piastry soon enough in a more colourful version of the McLaren orange.

Logan Sargeant, an American 21-year-old who recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship and graduated from the Williams Driver Academy, will debut in a beloved blue Williams.

That’s a lot to get revved up for.
