We Created Our Own Teas With Chatime: Here’s How You Can Too

Gimme all the popping pearls.

All right you bubble tea enthusiasts, we’ve got some exciting news for you.

In celebration of their new mix-ins (blueberry, raspberry, lychee, kiwi popping pearls), Chatime now have a ‘create your own drink’ feature on their app! Not only can you create the drink, you also get to name it and enter your drink to WIN some amazing prizes.

Oh, and did we mention they've also added an Oreo crumb mix-in? *Drools.*

The new feature is called #mymixisbetter, and to show you how it works, we sent Corey and Caitlin from the Student Edge team to their local Chatime to give it a go.

Check out the video to see how they went, from creating the drinks to picking them up in-store. 

Step 1: Create your Chatime.

To start with, you need to download the Chatime App. Once you’ve done that, tap on #mymixisbetter and start to create your customised Chatime.

From the type of tea and flavour to all the different mix-ins, your imagination can run wild with whatever your tastebuds want.

Here’s the deets for the two drinks that Corey and Caitlin created.

Drink 1: All The Pearls.

‘Cos Chatime have added a heap of new flavoured popping pearls, Corey figured why not try them all, right? Here’s what you need to create our All the Pearls Chatime:

• Apple green tea
• No ice
• 50% sugar
• Blueberry popping pearls
• Raspberry popping pearls
• Lychee popping pearls
• Kiwi popping pearls

Drink 2: Cookie Mousse Monster.

Caitlin went for something a little less intense than Corey’s sugar fest. The Cookie Mousse Monster was all about making the crushed Oreos on the top sing. Here’s how to make it:

• Strawberry milk tea
• Half ice
• 30% sugar
• Cream mousse
• Oreo crumbs

It’s a classier kind of drink for those who want that strawberry swing with a chocolate crunch.

How can I make my own Chatime?

We knew you couldn’t resist! All you’ve gotta do is download the Chatime App. Once you’ve done that, tap on #mymixisbetter and start to create your customised tea. Alternatively, you can head to Chatime's #mymixisbetter website at mymixisbetter.com.au to get started.

From there you can choose the options and mix-ins, and create your very own Chatime. If you can’t decide, click the 'Surprise me' button and get a fun new creation.

Next, you need to give your brand-new masterpiece a name. Come up with your own or click the random name generator button for some inspo.

And there you have it! Enjoy your sips.
