Watch Wolverine's Last Stand In The Trailer For Farewell Flick "Logan"

Can an X-Men movie make you cry?
Usually, they make this writer weep on account of their awfulness.
But if any of them could do it for reals, it’d be Logan, Hugh Jackman’s swan song as Wolverine. (It marks his tenth and final time in the role of the franchise's only worthwhile contribution to society.)
In the just-released trailer for the flick, Old Man Logan laments to an ailing Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) that the age of mutants is over… only to discover there’s a little kid with his exact mutation out there. (Comic fans will recognise her as Wolfie’s clone X-23.)
Director James Mangold - returning from the only good X-Men movie: The Wolverine - isn’t even trying to emulate the work of Bryan Singer and his larger ensemble flicks here.
If the predecessor was a samurai film, Logan looks to be a western, aided by Johnny Cash’s cover of “Hurt” on the soundtrack.
Could this be Wolverine’s Unforgiven? With Jackman in suitably grizzled form, expect a heartbreaker of an ending. We are way in.
(Side note: At 48, Jackman is already playing “old man”, while Tom Cruise, at 54, is playing the mid-40s Jack Reacher. Something has gone terribly wrong.)
Logan hits cinemas next March.
