Watch the Throne: Report Says Men Are More Likely Than Women to Use Their Phones on the Toilet

Get out the screen wipes. A new report has found men are way more likely than women to use their phones while on the loo.

The Digital News Report: Australia 2017, conducted by the University of Canberra and the University of Oxford, even found more men use their phones, tablets and sometimes laptops (guys!) while on the toilet than women use their phone at work, full stop.

According to the ABC, the survey also concluded men are 30 per cent more likely to use their phone to surf the web at work than their female colleagues.

However, the report—which canvassed more than 2,000 Aussies on their news-reading habits—suggests that this might be more reflective of the differences between the jobs held by men and women.

It was also found that 40 per cent of young Australians (aged between 18 and 24) mainly get their news from social media. And 56 per cent of respondents said they actively tried to avoid news in general.

So… is anyone even reading this?

If so, please don’t forget a courtesy flush.
